Hi,  I'm Kay Douglas. Welcome to my website.

I have been working in the helping professions for more than 35 years – firstly as a social worker, then as a counsellor, group facilitator and psychotherapist.

My own life has been enriched by the privilège of sharing other people's journeys. I love seeing people heal, change and grow. I am inspired by kindness and compassion and the courage often shown by people who have experienced adversity.

As an author I have written books on subjects that have touched my own life, ranging from overcoming an abusive relationship, to recovering from a challenging childhood, to learning to live life to the full.

My intention in creating this website is to get feedback on the books I’ve written and to offer these books for sale, to get input on any future publications and to offer services such as counselling to those who may be interested.

On this site you can read articles I have written, find out about my books or my counselling or psychotherapy services or take advantage of other resources.

Yours in health and healing,

Kay Douglas

Here are YouTube video trailer for my books: Invisible Wounds: Help. Hope, and Healing for Women in Abusive Relationships, or Recovery and Men Making Changes: Breaking the Cycle of Anger and Abuse in Family Relationships. I hope you enjoy them.
